Distribution Policy
The copyright owner allows Astronomy Education Groups and Individual Users to make and distribute printed handouts of The Evening Sky Map (TESM) for non-commercial educational purposes subject to the Terms of Use set forth below. Wriiten permission is NOT required for such use.
Copyright Permission
Astronomy Education Groups: The copyright owner grants permission to Astronomy Education Groups to make and distribute up to 300 printed handouts of The Evening Sky Map (TESM) each month in accordance with the Terms of Use set forth below.
Astronomy Education Groups are defined here as:
- Planetariums
- Educational Institutions
- Museum and Science Centers
- National and State Parks
- Astronomy Clubs
- Astronomy Outreach Groups
- Scout Groups
Individual Users: The copyright owner grants permission to Individual Users to make and distribute up to 30 printed handouts of The Evening Sky Map (TESM) each month in accordance with the Terms of Use set forth below.
Terms of Use
By making and distributing printed handouts of The Evening Sky Map (TESM) you accept these terms:
- TESM must only be distributed for non-commercial educational purposes.
- TESM must only be distributed free of charge.
- TESM must only be distributed as a separate printed handout.
- TESM must NOT be distributed after the last day of the calendar month of issue. For example, the January 2006 issue of TESM must NOT be distributed after 31 January 2006.
- TESM must NOT be subjected to alteration.
- TESM must NOT be distributed in electronic form (eg., CD-ROM, DVD, Web, e-mail, or server).
- TESM must NOT be published in any form (see Publication below).
- TESM must NOT be included or bundled with any newsletter or publication. This is considered to be publication (see Publication below).
- The copyright owner reserves the right to withdraw permission at any time.
You will require the prior written permission of the copyright owner if you need more copies or if you are unsure whether you satisfy the above terms. Please complete and submit the online Copyright Permission Form with full details of the intended use.
Commercial Use
Use of The Evening Sky Map (TESM) for any commercial purpose requires the prior written permission of the copyright owner. Please complete and submit the online Copyright Permission Form with full details of the intended use.
Publication
Publication of The Evening Sky Map (TESM) in any form requires the prior written permission of the copyright owner. Please complete and submit the online Copyright Permission Form with full details of the intended use.
