3 Moon near Beehive cluster M44 (morning sky) at 5h UT.
4 Moon near Regulus (morning sky) at 21h UT.
6 Moon at perigee (closest to Earth) at 14h UT (359,455 km; 33.2').
7 New Moon at 18:45 UT. Start of lunation 1086.

9 Moon near Venus (28° from Sun, evening sky) at 19h UT. Mag -4.5.
10 Moon near Mars (31° from Sun, evening sky) at 0h UT. Mag. +1.5.

17 Mercury at superior conjunction with the Sun at 1h UT. The planet passes into the evening sky.

Observe in the pre-dawn hours of October 21st; radiant located near Orion's club asterism. Unfavorable viewing conditions this year due to excessive moonlight.
